About VHFF
At its core, the VHFF is a 501(c)(3) organization built on a giving philosophy and deeply rooted in changing lives. It is designed as a responder to a broad range of human needs including health, education, sports, community empowerment and social welfare. The VHFF’s mission is limitless as it strives to break down the challenges and focus on opportunities that will bring about normalcy to the underserved over time. Its philanthropic investments have directly impacted both individuals and organizations in our local communities and the Caribbean. Additionally, it has also collaborated with numerous partners to collectively tackle significant challenges.
Whether making bread, patties and other baked products, or devoting time to one of his charities, Vincent HoSang is driven by quality and always focused on making things better. Over the years, he and his family have made things better for many by supporting various causes. The VHFF is a 501c3 organization that comprises the philanthropic arm of Caribbean Food Delights and Royal Caribbean Bakery. Countless organizations and individuals can attest to this generosity.
The HoSang Family
Jeanette and Vincent HoSang were born on the small island of Jamaica. They migrated to the United States in their 20s to look for better opportunities. Jeanette continued her education at Pace University to become a Registered Nurse and Vincent worked in a briefcase factory and later became a milkman.
After they married and started a family, they used their savings to purchase a fried chicken store in the Bronx, NY. It was there they introduced Jamaican cuisine to the public and the popular Jamaican patties that would launch them from a mom and pop shop to one of the largest manufactures of Jamaican frozen food in the world.
In 1977, Vincent and Jeanette started a family, having four children, Damian, Sabrina, Simone and Brian. With much pride and enthusiasm, Brian HoSang managed JerkQ'zine Caribbean Grille until his fatal motorcycle crash on May 12, 2008 at the tender age of 24 years old. He is surely missed by everyone including our patrons.
Today, you will find the HoSang's oldest son, Damian HoSang, managing the store alongside his mother Mrs. HoSang. Sabrina HoSang Jordan is now the Chief Executive Officer at Caribbean Food Delights, having taken over the position in 2016, and Simone HoSang is the Chief Operating Officer.
Brian HoSang
Brian HoSang was the fourth child born to Vincent & Jeanette HoSang on September 5, 1983. He was full of life, energy and passion. He did the things that he loved and loved the things that he did. Brian was the life of any party and was always opening his arms to anyone in need. On the tragic day of May 12, 2008, Mother's Day, Brian and a group of his friends were riding on the i-684S, on their way home, when Brian lost control of his motorcycle and fatally crashed. Extremely personable and well connected, he left behind a tremendous amount of loving family and friends.
During the last years of his life, he was attending Westchester Community College studying Business Administration and Marketing. The enthusiasm he had for the family business was shown to every customer he met or trade show he attended. He was very proud of his parents and his heritage.
From a young boy, his idol was Bruce Lee. He was involved in martial arts and enjoyed watching UFC fights on the weekends. Two quotes from Bruce Lee that defines Brian's life:

With those, we have created the Vincent HoSang Family Foundation Scholarship In Memory of Brian HoSang. Brian lived a life worth remembering, always growing and reaching out to as many people as he could. He lived his life as if there was no tomorrow.
